The kitchen at Vineyard Cottages is run and catered by an amazing team of chefs in collaboration with Elle and local producers. Together our philosophy is to promote and support local businesses, growers, producers, farmers and fishermen and of course vineyards.

 

 

Our conference and meeting menus are focused on nutricious dishes created to be light but filling.

Morning Tea

    • Duck Confit, Wild Mushroom Risotto, thyme jus

     

    • Beef tenderloin with a spinach and gorgonzola stuffed portobello mushroom, mustard mash, red wine Jus, seasonal vegetables (GF)

     

    • Chicken stuffed with black garlic, charred leek puree, mushrooms, asparagus, broad beans, peas, and chicken jus(GF)

     

    Dessert

    • Modern Fresh Lemon Meringue tart – deconstructed, Lemon curd, biscuit crumb, toasted meringue, candied orange, crisp raspberry and vanilla icecream

     

    • Dark Chocolate and Almond Torte, caramel ganache, macerated berries and hazelnut crumb, coffee icecream (GF)

  • Beetroot and orange salmon with a Waldorf salad of pickled walnuts, witlof, julienne of apples and celery remoulade (GF)

 

  • Salad of shaved fennel, salted red onion, parsley, pear & prosciutto with a crisp coated quenelle of Bûche de Chèvre- lemon oil, manuka honey and Dijon dressing

 

  • Sugar cured smoked lamb Rump, glazed beets, broad beans, pancetta and mint with a fig Vincotto dressing (GF)

 

Main 

  • Aged Fillet, Roasted with mushroom parfait, caramelised baby onions, dauphinoise potato, madeira glaze, seasonal vegetables (GF)

Gourmet Wedding BBQ Menu

Canapes: Margarita Shrimp cocktail served in mini bamboo boats, Haloumi and bacon wrap, Balinese beef skewers, Buckwheat blini with house smoked salmon and dill crème fraiche or try the best Miso and ginger meatball with kecap Manis. 

Gourmet BBQ Mains: Sticky lemon chicken, Smoked paprika rubbed sirloin, Mediterranean baked monkfish, salmon, terakihi or mirror dory, mixed vegetable and haloumi kebabs with basil pesto, Yakitori marinated chicken or why not try something new like our Chocolate mousse beer steak! 

Salads: Roasted sweet potato and pumpkin, Nicoise salad, Grilled corn on the cob, Char grilled summer vegetables and fresh herb couscous and a buffalo yogurt garlic dressing or our ultimate Broccoli salad, with peas, quinoa, alfalfa, avocado, cucumber, and feta.

Buffet Desserts: Dark chocolate and almond torte with wild cherry sauce, Limon-chello cream and raspberry tiramisu, Eton Strawberry Chantilly cream with diced fresh strawberries, toasted almonds and pieces of meringue, Apple caramel crumble pots
